Hosted by Queensland Transport

                  http://delta.ucdavis.edu

Professor Cahill is the Director of the d (DELTA) Group, (Determination of Extinction and Long Range Transport of Aerosols) at the University of California, Davis.

Professor Cahill will summarise current Californian research into the impacts of transportation on nearby areas, discuss new data on the most toxic emissions of automobiles, and contrast these to better known data from diesels and new data on heavy diesels in trains.

He will outline a four level mitigation strategy which has been developed, several parts of which are now in California law, but others, especially the toxicity of automobile particulate matter, would require legislative action.
