Odour Workshop, 1998 Odour Special Interest Group Edited by Frank Fleer
The publication is a compilation of papers presented at the CASANZ Odour SIG’s 3 rd National Odour Workshop. The case studies presented were specifically aimed at describing an appropriate regulatory regime based on peak to mean ratios for various odour source types, averaging period, design ground level concentration and community response. Of the eight papers in the publication, six are case studies. Two papers discuss peak to mean ratios and experiments to evaluate the extent to which suspended particulates influence the perception of odours. The other papers are based on specific case studies, including odours from slag granulation plants, stock/fish/pet food manufacturing, sewage treatment plants and poultry farms.
